About Me

Hello and Welcome to My Journey,

I’m Michael, an Embedded Software Designer by profession, and more recently, a dedicated advocate for a gluten-free lifestyle. At 30, after a lifetime of seemingly normal but persistent health issues, I received a diagnosis that turned my world around: celiac disease.

For three decades, I lived with symptoms that I thought were just part of my everyday life. Persistent bloating and discomfort were my norm. It wasn’t until the impacts of my condition became impossible to ignore — notably, excessive and odorous flatulence — that I realized something was amiss. This revelation was thanks to a candid conversation with my girlfriend, which led me down the path of medical discovery.

After a series of tests, including blood work revealing high levels of Tissue Transglutaminase Antibodies (tTG-IgA) and a confirming biopsy, my suspicions were validated: I had celiac disease.

Since this diagnosis, my life has transformed immeasurably for the better. Eliminating gluten from my diet has not only brought me physical relief but also a newfound vitality. I experience enhanced energy levels, improved sleep, reduced allergies, and a more effective fitness routine. The one lament? I do miss a good beer.

This blog is my way of sharing this journey with you. From detailed workout routines and meal plans to delicious recipes and insights about living with celiac disease, I aim to empower and enlighten others on this path. Whether you're newly diagnosed, a long-time gluten-free veteran, or simply interested in a healthier lifestyle, there's something here for everyone.

Join me as we explore the world of gluten-free living and fitness, one post at a time.

Sincerely, Michael
